Zia shines in Avadh Academy win

Lucknow A 61-run knock by Zia Khursheed helped Avadh Cricket Academy ‘Blue’ in defeating Indian Eleven Club by 20 runs in a league match of the Holi Festival Cup played at KD Singh ‘Babu’ Stadium, Lucknow on Wednesday.

Avadh Academy scored 187 runs losing four wickets in the given 30 overs. In reply, Indian Eleven could muster 167 runs losing losing nine wickets.

Brief Scores: Avadh Cricket Academy ‘Blue’: 187 for four in 30 overs ( Zia Khursheed 61, Taufiq Ahmed 32, Azeem Siddiqui 34, Gaurav Singh 30 not out; Sandeep Pandey 2 for 25, Obaid Kamal 1 for 33); Indian Eleven: 167 for nine in 29.2 overs ( Nishant Bhardwaj 45, Obaid Kamal 26, Abhishek Shukla 23; Usman 3 for 30, Amit 2 for 9, Noman 1 for 16, Zia Khursheed 1 for 31).
