Zirakpur mishap victim succumbs to injuries

Zirakpur Vishal Garg, the resident of Sector 21, Chandigarh, who had received serious head injuries after a tent collapsed during a wedding ceremony at the AKM Resort in Zirakpur on June 29, died on Friday.

The police have now added Section 304A in the FIR registered against the resort manager and a few other employees who were earlier booked for mismanagement.

According to the complaint lodged by Vishal’s father S K Garg, the tent at the wedding venue collapsed during the ceremony, immediately after a power cut.

Vishal was rushed to GMCH-32, Chandigarh, where he died on Friday.
