Crisis in PMK deepens

Pondicherry: Crisis in PMK deepens with its dissidents floating a new political party and the lone PMK MLA also resigning from the party. Though the party has managed to get back a lone dissident, Sankaran, the other have not returned to the party. Manjini, the Former convenor of the party and the dissident leader who had worked for the development of the party, has not only claimed 30 percent of the support of the PMK cadres but has also extended support to the NDA in the Union Territory.

S.Ramsingh, PMK MLA who resigned from the party, has also vowed to work against the victory of the Ariyankuppam constituency PMK candidate from where Ramsingh has been denied the seat by the party. With just a couple of weeks for the polls, the party has been left with very little time to make good the loss it has suffered. PMK which had hoped to form the next government in the Union Territory in association with AIADMK will find the going tough.
