'PMK rivals take to violence in Pondicherry'

Express News Service

Pondicherry, May 7: PMK founder leader Dr S. Ramadoss has said that the candidates contesting against the PMK in Pondicherry are resorting to violence in order to save themselves from the disgrace of defeat.

Ramadoss, who was campaigning for the PMK Cassicade candidate Malar Mannan on Monday, said the PMK candidates were posing a challenge to candidates of other parties and so the latter were resorting to violence. He predicted that those candidates would not be able to secure significant votes. He alleged that Chief Minister P. Shanmugham and PMC founder leader P. Kannan had opted out of the contest to save themselves from the embarrassment of defeat.
