Addressing a well attended election meeting at Chepauk this evening to release the list, Karunanidhi announced that 93 seats had been given to the sitting MLAs and another 74 to new faces.

Of the candidates, 14 are women, 81 are Graduates including 33 Post Graduates, 26 advocates and five doctors.

The Chief Minister said the list was prepared by consulting party seniors, and those who have been toiling for the party.
