“Sanskriti” Award from the Sanskriti Pratishtan Foundation

Jaleel has been noted for his discerning stories on the psychological cost of violence in Jammu and Kashmir, impact of violence on the children and on the state’s literature, visual arts and the society in general.

About the Award:
The Sanskriti Awards aim at inspiring and honouring young talent in India, which is striving to attain excellence in their chosen fields, and are also awarded to those who have already demonstrated their mettle in their respective disciplines. The purpose of the awards is to strengthen the awardees' confidence in their own capacity and to ensure that they are not alone and unheeded in their endeavour.

The Sanskriti Awards are given in the fields of Literature, Journalism, Art, Music-Dance- Theatre, and Social and Cultural Achievements. Over the years, the Sanskriti Awards have become the most coveted awards in India.
