Treasury managers dump gilts for short-term corporate paper

[Details] Bank treasury managers' honeymoon with long-term government paper appears to be souring, thanks to the declining interest rates. Even fund managers of the fledgling money market mutual funds are said to be having a change of heart as they switch from gilts to short-term corporate paper.

[Details] Another major gainer has been Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd which announced a 46% rise in net profit and has a strong order book position for the current year, the stock has moved from Rs 351.75 to Rs 393.50. On NSE the scrip touched Rs 404 on May 2. Among other gainers have been Exide Industries (a gain of Rs 9) and Pentafour Software (a gain of Rs 11).

Bank of India scrip listing on Monday

[Details] Bank of India shares would be listed on B1 segment of the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday, May 5. The Rs 10 fully paid-up equity share priced at Rs 45 (Rs 35 premium) would be admitted to the non-specific segment with the scrip code of BK INDIA-B1.
