Aspect opens office in Bangalore

OUR BUREAU

BANGALORE, May 7: The US-based Aspect Development Inc has set up its direct marketing, sales , and support office in Bangalore for its customers in India and Southeast Asia.

This will allow the company to offer Indian manufacturers the same products and technology that have allowed 70 per cent of the largest manufacturers in the world to trim their production costs by 5 to 10 per cent and shorten their time-to-market by as much as 50 per cent. Aspect has already doubled its operations in Bangalore by expanding its VIP data Development Centre and launching the India Software Development centre.

The company's operations focus on primary state-of-the-art technology development and not secondary development or maintenance of older legacy systems.

Aspect has already invested Rs 10 crore in these projects and is planning an additional infusion of Rs 25 crore in the next few years.

The company has also entered into a tie up with SAP, the leading worldwide provider of enterprise business solutions. SAP will now market and support all Aspect products worldwide, including India.

Aspect is one of the leading providers of component and supplier management (CSM) systems in the world with a wide client base including majors like ALcatel, Allied signal, AT&T, Group Schneider, Hitachi, Honeywell, Motorola, PhiLlips and Sun Microsystems.
