Omron to hike stake in SRA Systems

[Details] Omron Corporation, the $5-billion Japanese electronic control components and equipment major, is to hike its stake in SRA Systems. Omron will shortly pick up four lakh shares in the Chennai-based software house at a premium of Rs 30%. This will increase Omron's stake to 29% from the present 20%.

TCS to sub-contract Y2K work to SRA

[Details] Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into an agreement with SRA Systems for sub-contracting some of its Year 2000 (Y2K) projects. SRA will kick of a three month long pilot project for TCS, involving 30 people on a time and material basis.

United Phosphorus reneges on deal with MJ Pharma

[Details] United Phosphorus (UPL) has apparently backed out of a deal to buy over Mumbai-based MJ Pharmaceuticals bulk drugs manufacturing unit at Ankleshwar, GIDC. MJ Pharma is now a part of the Sun Pharmaceuticals group.
