Telco to pick up 7% stake in Bridgestone-ACC

[Details] The Tata Engineering & Locomotive Co (Telco) will pick up a 7.2% stake and ACC Ltd 18.8% in the revised equity structure of Bridgestone-ACC, paving the way for a fresh round of speculation on whether the cement major is actually out of the Tata fold.

Maharashtra sets up cell to evaluate FDI proposals

[Details] The Maharashtra government has set up a foreign investment cell in the chief minister's office to monitor and follow up various foreign investment proposals. Chief Minister Manohar Joshi stated that the move was in response to the suggestions made by several foreign investors and NRIs during his recent visit to China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Japan.
