Arvind Mills bucks trend, net at Rs 127-cr

[Details] Arvind Mills, flagship of the Lalbhai group, has recorded an 11.8% rise in net profit at Rs 127 crore for the year ended March 31, 1997, against Rs 113 crore last year. The board has maintained a dividend of Rs 4.50 per share.

Apple offers byte into Macintosh 3400 series

[Details] As part of its plans to capitalise on the growing notebook computer market in India, Apple Computers introduced its Macintosh PowerBook 3400 series on Monday. Indian users can avail themselves of unique features like the 240MHz PowerPC processor, built-in ethernet and modem, hot swappable expansion bay modules, and a four speaker sound system.
