Ahmedabad Electricity net up 24% to Rs 39 cr

[Details] Ahmedabad Electricity Company (AEC) has reported a 24% increase in net profit to Rs 39.10 crore for the year ended March 31, 1997, as compared to Rs 31.65 crore last year. The board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 2.20 per share as against Rs 2 last year.

RIL to hike PTA capacity

[Details] Reliance Industries will be increasing its installed capacity of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) from 9,50,000 tpa to 1.3 million tpa by process improvements and debottlenecking. Process improvements have already been incorporated in the company's Hazira plant under construction.

VHL plans to set up JVs to sustain 15% growth

[Details] The Pune-based Venkateshwara Hatcheries Ltd (VHL) plans to set up joint ventures to expand capacities in all areas of the poultry business. The move will allow the group to maintain a growth rate of 10% to 15%.
