NSE gets tough on indemnity bonds

[Details] The National Stock Exchange has decided to restrict the personal indemnity to be furnished by its members only to the extent of bad paper introduced by the member. Members not willing to furnish the bond have been given the option of trading only in demat shares. Those members who fail to choose either of the two options by July 31 will be asked to leave the exchange.

5 state power boards set to mop up Rs 750 cr via debt market

[Details] Five state electricity boards (SEBs) have entered the private placement market to collectively raise around Rs 750 crore.The Punjab State Electricity Board issue, with a rating of L-AA, opened on Monday. The other firms that have entered the market are Rajasthan State Electricity Board, Gujarat Industry Power Corporation, Hyderabad State Electricity Board and Maharashtra State Electricity Board.

NSE files criminal complaint against Vipul Securities

[Details] The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has filed a criminal complaint with the Mumbai police against Vipul Securities for allegedly introducing fake shares worth Rs 10 crore. The exchange has declared the firm a defaulter.
