Darbari to join AAI

CEMENT Corporation of India (CCI) chairman Anand Darbari is waiting in the wings to join the more lucrative Airport Authority of India (AAI) at the helm. All that he is waiting for is the mandatory clearance from bodies such as the Central Vigilance Commission and, of course, the Cabinet Committee of Appointment (ACC), an official formality.

Darbari, who was interviewed by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), was placed number one in the panel. Accordingly, he is waiting for the formal order of appointment. But, as sources say, there are often chances of the proverbial slip between the cup and the lip. Already, speculation has begun as regards the delay in finalising the appointment.
