Unicorp, Intel India in technology alliance for Peace Island

Bangalore, July 11: Unicorp and Intel India on Friday announced a technology alliance for Unicorp's `Peace Island' range of products and solutions based on Intel technologies. The range of products include Pentium II processor based high-end desktops and workstation products and servers, home/business desktop systems based on Pentium processors with MMX technology, and high bandwidth solutions based on Intel's fast Ethernet technology and products. The alliance follows the launch of Pentium II microporcessor by Intel, the highest performing microprocessor. The range of networking products include local area network (Lan) adapters, stackable hubs and hubs in high bandwidth networking arena, and Intel LANDesk Management Suite, Intel LANDesk Workgroup Manager and Intel LANDesk virus protect for end-to-end management. As part of the alliance, Intel will provide Unicorp with its latest products, technical assistance and extensive field training to its marketing executives. Earlier, Unicorp had launched the Peace Island range of computers in association with Intel. The systems launched were Ergo Station, Tornado Server, and Cresendo Desktop. Intel India country manager Atul Vijaykar said, "Our mission is to accelerate the adoption of the latest technology in all segments, and work with the best partners in the industry to achieve this end. We believe that Unicorp is capable of helping us achieve our mission." Unicorp Industries Ltd managing director Arun Sogani said, "We are very pleased that Intel has chosen to enter into this alliance with us."
