Badla trading today

Press Trust of India

MUMBAI, July 13: The Mumbai stock exchange on Saturday cancelled all the programmes including badla session due to poor attendance following dislocation of public transport services caused by `Mumbai bandh'.

The exchange has rescheduled the badla trading which will be held today between 9.30 am and 12 noon. The normal trading would start from 2 pm and close at 5.15 pm in view of the revised timings of badla session.

V V Raut, general manager, market operations, said the members who had not downloaded the new TWS version no.20, could not participate in normal trading on July 14 if they failed to download the same between 10 am and 2 PM on that day. Raut said all the settlement outputs pertaining to A, B1 and B2 group settlement no.16 and odd lot settlement no.17 would be available for downloading on July 15.

SEBI surveillance meeting

SEBI is convening an inter-exchange market surveillance group meeting in Mumbai tomorrow to discuss the present market situation and the steps taken by the stock exchanges in this regard. The regulatory authority has invited representatives from DSE, NSE, BSE, CSE, BgSE, Jaipur Stock Exchange and Ahmedabad Stock Exchange to attend the meeting.

The large number of reported defaults at the NSE are among the matters to be taken up at the meeting. SEBI has asked the seven exchanges to send information regarding margins collected in the last 15 days and the defaults in collection if any.
