Philips unveils LCD projectors: Philips India, a group company of the Netherlands-based Philips Electronics NV announced the launch of its range of ProScreen 4x00 series LCD projectors in Mumbai. The four proscreen products will be available across the country and are targeted at professionals making presentations. With connectivity to a personal computer, video cassette recorder or any other video source, these projectors can add a professional touch to any presentation.

Akshay Software designs web accelerator: Akshay Software Technologies, has developed the Akshay web accelerator, designed to increase the browsing speed of the Internet and to give optimum use. It helps the user to download the information while simultaneously allowing him to surf the net, thereby facilitating the effective use of the connection time. The software employs a mechanism by which retrieving the information is much faster as compared to the usual means of getting it on the Internet. It also has the capability of surfing the Internet off-line, even when the connection is down.
