NTPC plans venture with foreign firm to renovate power plant

[Details] National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) plans to set up a joint venture with a renowned international company to undertake renovation and modernisation (R&M) of power plants in the country.

[Details] Birla AT&T Communications (BATCL), the cellular service provider for Maharashtra (except Mumbai), Gujarat and Goa will shortly ask for an extension of its licence period. BATCL's licence fee for the quarter falls due on September 12.

Godrej & Boyce in 50:50 tie-up with Belgian firm

[Details] Godrej & Boyce has formed a 50:50 joint venture with a $60 million Belgian firm, Stow International, for storage solutions. The joint venture will be implemented through the company's office equipment (OE) division and is expected to kick off operations shortly.
