Aluminium prices on Monday fell on LME, after the International Primary Aluminium Institute (IPAI) reported a net rise in stocks. Three-month aluminium prices fell by six dollars to 1,748 dollars per tonne. The IPAI data showed that total aluminium inventories rose by 11,000 tonnes in June to 3.05 million tonnes. However, London-based traders predicted that aluminium prices would rise in the months ahead.
