NetAcross to launch network software in Oct

M Rajendran

NEW DELHI, Aug 15: NetAcross Communications Limited, the networking company promoted by Group Mahendra Kumar Modi and Hinditron has developed a network software, which will be globally launched in October.

The new software is expected to cut the networking cost in a corporate office by about 20-25 per cent. NetAcross is also expected to bundle its products with a few US based software companies and will bundle their products while offering packaged solutions. The product will be priced about Rs 2 lakh in the Indian market. But is expected to be priced competitively in the international market.

The company is bullish about the potential of its latest software and plans to sell about 10,000 copies of the software globally and about 150 copies in the country, in the first year of its launch.

Explaining the vast disparity in the copies expected to be sold in India and globally, NetAcross Communications Ltd's managing director, Manish Modi said,``There is no market for networking in the country, it will probably take about five years to sell such a number in India.'' The company was launched last year with an initial investment of less than Rs 1 crore.
