Aug 17: Delhi-based Ultrapure Technology and Appliances Ltd is out to bring in revolution in kitchen waste management. The company has come out with an appliance to dispose of kitchen garbage. Known as "Ultracrush" the device is fitted under the wash basin which crushes food waste such as vegetable peels, egg shell, meat leftover, bones and tea and coffee waste. It is priced at Rs 5,800. Onjus orange juice now in Delhi: Close on the heels of the successful launch at Mumbai and Pune, Enkay Texofood Industries Ltd has now launched its latest product Onjus in Delhi. Onjus is 100 per cent natural orange juice available in 250 ml and one litre tetrapack. Onjus is packed at Enkay's manufacturing plant at Bhilad in south Gujarat which has machinery supplied by Tetrapak of Sweden. TB kit from Veda: Veda Lab, a French company specialising in research, development, production and marketing of rapid immuno-diagnostic tests has recently launched a spot tuberculosis (TB) kit for early detection of an active infection. Omron's digital thermometer: Omron Corporation, a Japanese conglomerate, has launched a digital fever thermometer which has a clear digital display to read temperatures in India. A unique feature of the digital thermometer is a beeper which indicates the point at which the temperature should be read, facilitating accurate measurement. Sony launches 2 models of Trinitron CTVs: Sony India has launched two models of its Trinitron KV-J21 colour televisions in India to celebrate its 50 years of existence and 50 years of India's independence. Sony Trinitron KV-J21 colour television is the latest 53 cm television and comes with an extra large memory to program 80 preset channels. The televisions can receive CATV broadcasts including hyperband channels. Both models are equipped with a mult-system tuner to receive and playback 15 different systems. Pantaloon family superstore: Pantaloon Fashions India Ltd has opened its first-ever family superstore `Pantaloons' in Calcutta. The store will house products that will cater to the apparel needs of men, women and children and will also retail household products and other accessories like gifts and eye-wear. The company plans to launch a series of Pantaloon outlets in other metros and mini-metros of India. Modi Hoover to enter water purifiers: Modi Hoover International Ltd will soon enter the water purifiers market. The new product is based on the time-tested ultra violet technology and has three stage filtration process. It treats physical impurities through a fine micron prefilter candle, handles water turbidity by activated carbon and eliminates microbiological impurities through ultra violet treatment. The price of the water filter, which would be launched next month, is expected to be about Rs 6,000. Slew of new products from Samsung: Samsung India Electronics Ltd has announced the launch of a slew of new products during the last week.
