OUR MARKET BUREAU

MUMBAI, Oct 6: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has succeeded in shifting over 350 V-Sats from Insat-2D to Insat-2A by Monday evening. The exchange has set itself a deadline of Wednesday to shift the 780-odd V-Sats back to Insat-2A which would enable trading to commence at the bourse.

Exchange officials said they were yet to receive any intimation about the slot that had been allotted to them in lieu of the half transponder space they occupied on Insat 2D.

Meanwhile, the authorities of the Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) have succeeded in partially restoring V-Sat connections for users under the wide area network (WAN). Trading started one hour late at 11 am on Monday. Officials said 16 V-Sats were shifted to Insat-2C on Monday.

Trading is expected to start at 10 am on Tuesday, which is the scheduled time, exchange sources pointed out.
