SBI may divest stake in arm to raise issue size

[Details] The State Bank of India (SBI) is planning to divest its stake below 75% in State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH), a wholly owned SBI subsidiary, to ensure firm allotment for all employees of the bank. SBH's proposed Rs 69 crore public issue was stalled as trade unions demanded firm allotment for all employees.

Pune bourse to seek nod for modified badla trading

[Details] The Pune Stock Exchange, which is set to introduce BOLT shortly, will soon apply to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for permission to introduce the modified carryforward system. A decision to this this effect was taken at PSE's monthly management council meeting held on October 22.

UTI's overseas PSU fund mops up $70 million

[Details] The Unit Trust of India has received $70 million in subscription to its overseas PSU fund. Subscriptions have come from a broad base of investors from the UK, US, Hong Kong and Singapore with the monies expected to come in within the next two days. The fund had initially targeted a corpus of $50 million.
