Russian firm makes last-ditch bid to garner funds from escrow account

[Details] Russian steel major Tyazhpromexport (TPE) is making last-ditch efforts to garner money from the rupee-rouble escrow account for the revival of Indian Iron & Steel Company (Iisco), an ailing subsidiary of Steel Authority of India Ltd.

Polysindo group gets off takeover trail; opts for consolidation

[Details] The Indonesia-based Polysindo group has dropped its plans for any further takeovers in India. It has instead decided to consolidate on its two recent acquisitions -- Best & Crompton and JCT's synthetics fibre division.
