New Thailand cabinet to plan policy for economic revival

[Details] Thailand's prime minister Chuan Leekpai and his new cabinet started their first day in office yesterday with a meeting to prepare a government policy plan on tackling the Thai economic turmoil. Chuan is also expected to brief government leaders on his government's plan to revive the battered Thai economy along the line agreed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

[Details] The prime minister Goh Chok Tong of Singapore has expressed disappointment over the long-pending decisions such as undertaking joint Singapore-India business missions to China and Vietnam.
