NEW DELHI, Nov 16: International Business Consultants (IBC), a Delhi-based team of professional researchers led by SR Khanna, a leading expert in Asian textiles and clothing markets, is conducting a study on the role of fashion designers in the garment industry. The study commissioned by the ministry of textiles and the national institute of fashion technology (NIFT) aims to bring out the profiles of NIFT graduates in the fashion design course and other fashion design professionals who are working in different units or in their own ventures over the last decade. The survey will analyse key human resources and development issues of the apparel industry and will also contain information on the role of the institutions concerned with the industry.
