Hefty rise in silver on speculative buying

[Details] Silver recorded a hefty rise and gold also revealed a firm tendency on Delhi's bullion market yesterday. New York silver futures shot up to 544 cents from 526 cents an ounce, consequently, silver weekly delivery, on speculative buying, flared up to Rs 7205 from Rs 7080 a kg.

Silver prices soar, gold declines

[Details] Gold and silver prices moved in opposite direction on the bullion market during the week. Silver prices shot up by Rs 295 per kg while gold fell by Rs 80/85 per 10 gm. Standard gold slid from Rs 4,175 to Rs 4,090 per 10 gm. Gold 22 carat eased from Rs 3,860 to Rs 3,780 per 10 gm.

Skindia GDR index drops 12%

[Details] A weakening rupee and continued political uncertainty saw the Skindia GDR index drop to its six-month low of 880.68. The GDR index lost 12.08% during the week ended November 20 to close at 888.18 as against the November 12 close of 1,001.67.
