New Delhi, Nov 23: Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd has been selected by the National Productivity Council (NPC) for the `best productivity award' in fertiliser industry for 1995-96.

The second best award in fertiliser industry goes to Indo-Gulf Fertilisers and Chemicals.

The Nangal unit of National Fertiliser Ltd is selected for a certificate of merit.

The national productivity awards of NPC for 1995-96 will be presented by the president KR Narayanan on November 26.

The industry minister and NPC president Murasoli Maran will preside over the function. The agriculture minister Chaturanan Mishra and the food processing minister Dalip Ray are also expected to be present on the occasion.

The NPC awards are classified under three categories-agriculture sector, food processing industry and manufacturing industry and services.

The best productivity award in fruit and vegetable processing goes to Godrej Foods Ltd. The second best productivity award goes to both Kissan division of Hindustan Lever Ltd and Sun Sip Ltd.

The certificate of merit goes to Priya Foods division of Ushodaya Enterprises.

In marine and sea food processing, Nila Sea Foods has been selected for the best productivity award.

The second best productivity award goes to Amulya Sea Foods.

Diamond Sea Food Exports will receive the certificate of merit.

In consumer edible products, Cookies (India) Pvt Ltd has been selected for the best award.

Super Bakers (India) has been selected for the second best award. Palekar Food Products, Anand Foods and Modern Food Industries (India) Ltd are to receive certificates of merit.

In dairy processing, the best productivity award will be presented to Meshsana District Cooperative Milk Producers Union, while the second best award goes to Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers Union.Panchmahal District Cooperative Milk Producers Union bags the certificate of merit.

In cereal processing, the best award goes to United India Roller Flour Mill. The second best award goes to Cape Flour Mills while certificates of merit to Jagat Roller Flour Mills and Shivaji Roller Flour Mills.

SKM Animal Feeds and Foods(I) Ltd bags the best award in animal feed processing. Hindustan Lever Ltd gets the second best award and Kolhapur Zilla Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh gets the certificate of merit.In poultry production, Venco Research and Breeding Farm Ltd gets the best award.

The second best award goes to Saguna Poultry Farm.

Shiv Krupa Kukkat Palan Udhyojak Sahakari Sangh gets the certificate of merit.

Amongst the state agro-industries corporations, Gujarat gets the best award.

The second best goes to MP and Punjab and Karnataka gets certificates of merit. Amongst the warehousing corporations, best award goes to Central Warehousing Corporation followed by Haryana State Warehousing Corporation. Maharashtra, Rajasthan and UP get certificates of merit.

Amongst the cooperative marketing and oilseeds federations, Gujarat, Karnataka and Punjab bag the awards. Amongst cooperative inland and marine fish production, the best award is bagged by Vesawa Machhimar Vividh Karyakari Sahakari Society, Mumbai.

Fishermen cooperative of Kerala bags the the second award.
