S Murari took charge as chairman and managing director of the Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited on November 19. He was operating as director-in-charge of the PSU ever since the superannuation of its previous chairman. Murari has been with the export-oriented iron pellets producing company since 1978.

Patil director of NTPC

A Palit has been inducted in the board of National Thermal Power Corporation as Director (Technical) from his earlier position as the Executive Director, Southern Region. Having over 33 years of experience in this profession, Palit has also bagged the Pandit Jawaraharlal Lal Nehru National Award on research on residual life of equipments and systems. He has been instrumental in NTPC's success in bagging the ISO 9001 recognition during his tenure with the corporation as Manager (Quality Assurance). Patil, who is M Tech and holds a Ph D in combustion behaviour of coal in thermal power project.
