Symbiosis Institute to organise meet

MUMBAI, Nov 27: Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management (SITM) will organise a national seminar on telecom management in Pune between December 13 and 14, 1997. The seminar will focus on bringing together eminent technocrats and experts in the field of telecom to share their views on various aspects of the industry. Issues including human resources development in telecom, funding of telecom projects, scenario of basic services and future trends in telecom will be discussed in the seminar. The seminar will encourage interaction between telecom industry and the financial sector and enhance the management base aimed at developing the industry. Besides, it will give an insight about the various aspects of the industry to students. SITM was formed in 1996 by the Symbiosis society with an aim to bring managers specialised in telecom technology, telecom economics and business. The telecom management curriculum addresses the demanding requirements of the telecom industry and business for technical expertise combined with business skills. u Besides, a constant feedback is obtained from the industry so as to keep the students updated on industry requirements.
