Ceat Fin in talks with Dutch FI for $20 million loan

[Details] Ceat Financial Services Ltd (CFSL), a member of the Rs 6,100-crore RPG Enterprises, is negotiating with the Netherlands-based International Financial Institution for a $20 million line of credit. The Dutch financial institution is, however, keen on equity participation also. The talks are at a preliminary stage.

Gesco, Singapore Technologies plan joint venture for realty foray

[Details] Great Eastern Shipping, the country's largest private sector shipping company, is setting up a joint venture with Singapore Technologies Construction Pte Ltd to build executive apartment hotels, convention service centres and multiplex plazas. GE Shipping plans to float a new company for the joint venture in which the Singapore-based Ventura India Pte Ltd would pick up 60% of the equity, with the balance would be held by GE Shipping Company Ltd.

[Details] GEC Alsthom India Ltd, the power transmission and distribution equipment manufacturer, is grappling with poor debt recovery resulting in unsecured loans along with interest burden going up substantially. Market conditions and intense competition have affected their bottom-line also. The company has had to utilise maximum overdraft limit in a bid to meet the business requirements.
