National bourse to take care of share certificates transport

[Details] In a move which will boost delivery-based transactions across the country, the National Stock Exchange has decided to take it on itself the onus of transportation of share certificates, to and from, the regional centres to Mumbai. The exchange has in fact gone a step forward and decided to pick up the cost of the exercise which will rid members from across the country of expenses incurred in transporting shares to the clearing house at Mumbai and bringing back shares being delivered to them.

This is because last week stocks could react to political news only on the last day of the session on the Mumbai Stock Exchange. The reaction at best was modest, presumably because most scrips were already hovering at a low level. But as the markets slowly realise what has happened, investors will find blue chips turning attractive once again.
