Deutsche Bank to tap debt, forex markets

[Details] Deutsche Bank, a leading European bank with $1 trillion in assets, is highly optimistic about the growth in the Indian debt, forex and fixed income derivatives industry. Accordingly, it plans to increase its thrust in these areas while integrating its Indian activities with its global operations.

Modi Cement board recast with 7 GACL nominees

[Details] The board of Modi Cement Limited (MCL) was re-constituted on Tuesday with the induction of seven nominees of Gujarat Ambuja Cement Limited (GACL). The change in guard follows the BIFR order of November 5, 1997 sanctioning the revival scheme of MCL wherein GACL would bring in Rs 166 crore towards equity capital of MCL.

[Details] Searle (India), the pharma and agri arm of RPG, has reported a net profit of Rs 7.62 crore for the first half of the current financial, a fall of 25.39 per cent from Rs 10.21 crore in the corresponding period last year. The turnover, however, increased by 10.08% to Rs 139.02 crore from Rs 126.28 crore.
