SEBI seeks turnover, registration fee details from NSE, BSE

The SEBI has asked the National and Bombay stock exchanges to provide details on the turnover and registration fees payable by brokers since 1992. The issue of computation of turnover fees has been a bone of contention and broker associations have moved several high courts across the country against the payment of these fees in the present form.

FI Group makes open offer to acquire 24% in IIS Infotech

The FI Group PLC, a UK based group, has made an open offer to the public shareholders of IIS Infotech Ltd to pick up 24% of the paid up share capital. Under the offer, FI group to buy 1,09,44,000 fully paid up equity shares, representing 76% of the total equity capital of the company, at a negotiated price of Rs 100.90 per share.

Hyderabad stock exchange suspends 253 companies

Hyderabad Stock Exchange (HSE) has suspended 253 companies from trading since Monday for non-compliance with the listing agreement. The governing board of the exchange which met last week has taken the decision against the companies for not submitting the annual reports as per clause 31 of the listing agreement, in spite of repeated notices sent to them.
