Japan company plans to enter domestic multi-media

NEW DELHI, Dec 16: NEC Corporation, Japan, has decided to enter the Indian multi-media market in a big way by setting up joint venture and dealership facilities to promote their complete range of multisync monitors. The company with investment plans has tied up with ENTEL, for this purpose and it hopes to sell one lakh colour monitors in the first year itself. Shigeo Matsumoto, senior manager of NEC international home electricals division told The Financial express that the company's monitors have a world market share of 15 per cent and is the most popular brand in the US corporate users segment.

The outstanding image quality, exceptional brightness, reliability, high compatibility and other unique features have made it one of the most popular brand, he said. NEC is a leading Japanese company founded in 1899, specialising in electronic and communication systems. The Indian operations of the company are being taken care of through ENTEL, Matsumoto said. The NEC monitors are designed to overcome the eye-strain caused by long hours in front of the screen, he said. The monitors display features that reflect the needs of serious computer users and incorporate advanced technology that offers rock steady images distortion free edge to edge viewing with negligible glare and reduced emissions, he said.
