PUNE, Dec 16: Eight months after the reconstitution of the Pune Stock Exchange board, the government is yet to appoint its two nominees on the board of the exchange. The board had been reconstituted in April this year after a seven-month supersession, following irregularities detected in its functioning by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). There were fresh elections to the board in September but even after that the appointment of nominees is still awaited. This means that the board now has six broker directors including the president and only four nominee directors. The three public representatives on the board are KR Chandratre, GH Deolalkar and PN Behare, while the Sebi nominee on the board is CM Mehra. The six broker directors on the board are JN Gupta, UA Patankar, AR Shah, Ajit Khasnis, Hema Khamkar and PC Mutha.
