ITC Classic to receive Rs 350 crore from ITC by Dec 31 as per amalgamation plan

ITC Ltd will infuse Rs 350 crore in its subsidiary ITC Classic before December 31 as per the scheme of amalgamation between the latter and the Industrial Credit & Investment Corporation of India (ICICI). ICICI has called a meeting of its shareholders to approve the scheme on January 12 at Mumbai.

BPL US West plans wireless access network in Tamil Nadu

BPL US West is planning to set up a microwave transmission network in the state of Tamil Nadu. The microwave link will ensure wireless access throughout the state. The equipment for the microwave backbone will be supplied by Nokia Telecommunications.
