Chidambaram to inaugurate global business meet

Ahmedabad, Dec 29: Union finance minister P Chidambaram will inaugurate a four-day international conference on `Business challenges of 21st century - a global perspective' on the Nirma Education & Research Foundation (NERF) campus here on January 4.A company spokesman said on Monday that several corporate houses, including Cadila, Arvind, Core Healthcare, Bakeri, besides Nirma, would make special presentations at a session, reflecting managerial challenges and opportunities in specific industries. About 100 papers would be presented during the conference, including 60 by scholars from the USA, Canada, UK, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, among other countries. The five keynote addresses will be delivered by KD Agrawal, CMD of Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI), Beheruz Sethna, president of State University of West Georgia, VG Patel, director of Eentrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI-I), MR Rao, director of IIM-Bangalore, and Maurice Thevenet, director of ESSEC, France.
