GEC Alsthom Triveni is now GEC Alsthom Steam Turbine

NEW DELHI, Jan 13: GEC Alsthom Triveni Ltd, part of GEC Alsthom, a global leader in energy and transportation, has been renamed GEC Alsthom Steam Turbine (India) Ltd following the acquisition of Triveni's shareholding in the company by GEC Alsthom through its subsidiaries.GEC Alsthom Steam Turbine (India) Ltd will design and manufacture a complete range of steam turbines, ranging from 6 MW to 150 MW, with its associated equipment, right from turbo generator sets to turnkey power plants. The company will source its medium turbo machines from its plant in France, stated a company release. GEC Alsthom STI Ltd will also benefit from GEC Alsthom customer support, which has the capability and specific expertise to provide plant design modifications and technical personnel support.
