Our Bureau
The College of Business Studies is organising Drishtikon -- a seminar on Business Processes: Re-engineering and Renewal. To be held at the India International Centre, New Delhi, on January 23, this seminar is a step towards bridging the gap between academicians and corporates.

The topic of business process re-engineering has been chosen for the seminar because it is of interest to the top management teams and executives, according to the organisers.

Drishtikon proposes to cover:

  • Business process re-engineering - An introduction to its fundamental principles;

  • Organisational imperatives for business process re-engineering;

  • Implementation methodologies and experiences;

  • Role of IT and other enablers.

    This seminar is being held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the College of Business Studies, coinciding with the platinum jubilee celebrations of the University of Delhi.

    Specialists from corporate houses such as Coopers and Lybrand, Eicher Consultancy Services and Escorts will participate in the seminar, thereby giving an insight into the techniques used in varied organisations.

    The inaugural address is by A K Thiagarajan, Managing Director, Asea Brown Boveri, and the keynote address is by Paul Wilkinson, CEO, Gestetner India.
