  SEBI outlines new disclosure norms for funds
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has finally come out with a draft of its standard offer document for mutual funds. The draft, prepared in consultation with the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) and Price Waterhouse under the aegis of the FIRE project, lays down the minimum disclosure requirements to be contained in the offer document of any scheme that is launched by a mutual fund.
  AMBI plans book on capital market for investors
The Association of Merchant Bankers in India (AMBI) is planning to release a book for investors which will cover the different aspects of the capital market. The book is likely to be released by the end of this month. The release of the investor-guidance book is part of AMBI's on-going endeavour to create awareness among investors.

ICICI bond issue to hit market in March
The Industrial Credit & Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) will hit the capital market with a Rs 400 crore bond retail issue in March. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) cleared the offer document of the financial institution on Tuesday. ICICI is expected to file the prospectus with the Register of Companies (RoC) later this month.
Stock exchange employees plan federation on retrenchment fears
In a move which is being seen as an effort to "protect" employees of stock exchanges from the wave of reforms sweeping across the financial markets, a national stock exchange employees association has been mooted. The proposal, mooted by the employees union of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), is fast gaining ground among employees of other bourses also and meetings to this effect have already been held between the BSE union representatives and their counterparts at other bourses in India.

DBS Asset Management launches global small stock fund in Singapore
DBS Asset Management (DBSAM) said on Tuesday it was launching an equity fund which would invest in small and medium-sized companies around the world. DBSAM, a subsidiary of DBS Bank, would co-manage the fund -- to be called the Shenton Global Advantage Fund -- with US-based Cowen Asset Management.

Custody charges not stunting demat segment growth: Bhave
The move by companies to pay a one-time custody charge to the depository on behalf of investors has not led to any rush towards dematerialisation. CB Bhave, the managing director of National Securities Depository Ltd claims that this is proof that investors are not staying away from the depository due to the custody charges being levied on them but on account of the lack of liquidity in the demat segment.
