Picadilly develops mercantile banking software

Our Bureau
Pune, Feb 19: Patasanstha, a new customised software for mercantile banking, has been released by Picadilly Computers (India) Pvt Ltd. It derives its name from the small credit cooperative societies called Patasansthas which do not come under the purview of the Reserve Bank of India. There are around 650 Patasansthas in Pune alone.

Kedar Joshi, managing director of Picadilly Computers, said the Patasanstha software has incorporated features like new account opening which includes savings, fixed and recurring deposits. The software is capable of handling loan accounts with the instalment transaction and can generate reports like FD receipt, agent-wise collection, account statements, agent-wise commission, day book, cash in hand and so on. The software has two levels of security--clerk and manager. The cost of the software is Rs 15,000 and can be supported by a 486 computer with 16 MB RAM. Picadilly's previous software was Ayurveda multimedia CD.
