BA plans big investment on regional fleet
London, February 23: British Airways Plc said that the airlines has planned a major investment programme, with an initial order worth between 400 and 600 million pounds ($655-980 million), to equip the majority of its European subsidiaries with new aircraft.Eventually, BA said it would be seeking around 100 short-haul jets over the next decade, worth around two billion pounds, to replace a mixed fleet of seven aircraft types in service with its British-based BA Regional, Air Liberte, Deutsche BA and EuroGatwick operations.
