BJP launches ad blitzkrieg

The BJP and Shiv Sena have launched an advertisement blitzkrieg to woo voters in the aftermath of the mammoth public meeting addressed by star Congress campaigner Sonia Gandhi at the Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Sunday.

Pawar differs with Azad: Senior Congress leader Sharad Pawar on Monday differed with AICC campaign committee convenor Ghulam Nabi Azad over Congress's prospects of getting a majority in Lok Sabha and toppling governments in Maharashtra and Rajasthan. "I am not claiming we will get absolute or clear majority, but we will get a near majority in the house,"Pawar told a news conference.

Malpani group launches oil: The Aurangabad-based Malpani group has launched Utsav brand of super-refined sunflower oil and triple-filtered groundnut oil in one-litre Tetra Brik packs. The Tetra Pak packets will initially be launched in western Maharashtra and later across the state.

Colloquium on atomic probes: The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy andAstrophysics has organised a colloquium on "Atomic probes of the unification of fundamental forces" by BP Das, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore, at the IUCAA Lecture Hall on March 2 at 4:00 pm.

MCCI workshop: The Mahratta Chamber of Commerce and Industries will hold a half-day workshop on "uality customer service: A business strategy". The workshop aims to highlight the importance of customer satisfaction and to avoid customer defection.

12 workers held for bogus voting: Twelve persons, who on Sunday stormed into some polling booths in Beed and Solapur constituencies and snatched ballot papers and cast bogus votes, have been arrested. Chief electoral officer DK Sankaran told newspersons that about 25 persons barged into a polling booth of Beed assembly and snatched 41 ballot papers from polling personnel.

Srikrishna panel report to be made public: Maharashtra deputy chief minister Gopinath Munde on Monday said that the report of the Srikrishna Commission will be madepublic within a week. Munde said the decision to publish the report will be taken in a cabinet meeting being held this week.
