The manufacturing unit would have an initial capacity of 250 units per annum. Cannon India plans to double the capacity every year, he said. "Initially, we thought of going for a bigger plant with a capacity of 10,000 units by the end of 1998, but the new model is struck at the design stage. As we need time to adapt the latest technology, we are going in for this pilot project," he said.CARE downgrades Hindustan Financial FD programme: The Fixed-Deposit (FD) programme of Hindustan Financial Management has been downgraded by the Credit Analysis & Research Ltd (Care), to default category (Care D) from Care A-. A Microsoft release said it is the first application architecture to integrate the Internet, client/server and personal computer (PC) models of computing for a new class of distributed computing solutions. "Developers are looking for a platform that will enable them to focus on building value-added information network applications rather than on building infrastructure," Microsoft Corporation India Pvt Ltd tools evangelist Daniel Ingitiraj K said.
