SIA arm, Rolls-Royce to set up joint venture: Singapore Airlines (SIA) on Tuesday announced that its subsidiary, Singapore Airlines Engineering Company will be setting up a new joint venture with Rolls Royce and Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Ltd for the overhaul and maintenance of Trent engines in the Asia-Pacific region.Fast-breeder reactor needed: The ultimate answer to the country's future energy security problem would be the Fast Breeder Reactor now being developed after the success of the experimental Kamini and the completion of the Nuclear Fuel Cycle based on thorium, said YP Alagh, union minister of state for science & technology and power in New Delhi recently.
