GENEVA, March 3: Ford Motor Co on Tuesday unveiled its new Focus mid-sized car at the Geneva International Motor Show, describing it as a turning point for the US manufacturer. The Focus is the follow-up vehicle to Ford's most successful car, the Escort, which has sold around 20 million cars worldwide and the company said it had "greener" credentials than past Ford cars. The range includes a 1.8 litre direct fuel injection diesel engine, which gives it a fuel efficiency which Ford says has been improved by 25 per cent.
President of Ford's worldwide operations Jac Nasser said at a press briefing he hoped the Focus would build the group's presence in the medium car sector.
