R Krishnan is VP of IMG

Ravi Krishnan, 29, senior manager, Sales & Marketing takes over as vice president and director of sales of International Management Group (IMG) -- one of the world's largest sports management and promotion company.

Krishnan, who has been instrumental in setting up IMG's India office in 1995 has been successfully organising and managing IMG's sports events including the Sahara Cup cricket tournament in Toronto and the Gold Flake Open tennis in Chennai.

A law graduate from Melbourne, Krishnan has for long been associated with Australian Open Junior Tennis Championship. IMG also has a television division -- Trans World International (TWI) -- which is claimed to be the largest independent producer of television sports programmes in the world.

PL Diwan is CMD of WPCSL

P L Diwan, general manager (corporate) has taken over as chairman and managing director of Water and Power Consultancy Services (India) Ltd (WPCSL), a public sector undertaking, with effect fromMarch 1. Holding a masters degree in Water Resources from IIT, Delhi, he has over three decades of experience in the core sector of water and power resources development in India and abroad.

Prior to this appointment, Diwan has served as director in Central Water Commission, the nodal agency of government of India for Water Resources Planning.

R Stewart gets new charge

Robert Stewart has been appointed as vice-president & general manager of Tektronix CPID, Pacific operations. He was earlier the vice-president of New Business Ventures for CPID. In his new role, he is expected to lead the company's expansion plans for this region. He will be based in Hong Kong and will take care of ASEAN countries and India among others. Robert is an electronic engineer and an MBA from University of Virginia.

Kavin Sethi teams up with Genesis

Kavin Sethi, 46, has joined Delhi-based public relations agency Genesis PR as a partner. Sethi joins Genesis PR after more than two decades with Lufthansa, the lastfive of which he spent as the carrier's director for corporate communications for the Asia-Pacific region.

The five-year-old Genesis PR has offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Calcutta.

Seagate appoints VP (sales)

Seagate Technologies has appointed Don E Kennedy as vice president Asia Pacific sales and marketing. Based in Singapore, Kennedy will directly report to the company's senior vice president, international operations. Kennedy has more than nine years experience in the Asia Pacific region.
