  Britannia likely to unveil new cheese spread next month
Britannia Industries, after its initial success in the dairy product segment, is gearing up for another offering in the market -- the cheese spread. The new product is expected to launched sometime in April. The company plans to take the market by storm through the launch of its new product.
  Telco signs pact with four auto-financiers
Telco has entered into an arrangement with four large auto-financiers and is offering them incentives and other benefits for selling Tata vehicles. The four companies are GE Capital, Citibank, Sundaram Finance and Cholamandalam Finance.

Tata Sons seeks FI nod to charge logo fee from group firms
Tata Sons has sought the approval of the financial institutions to charge a subscription fee from group companies for using the "Tata" name and logo. The institutions have been approached on the matter given the fact that they happen to be major equity stakeholders in various Tata companies.
Bharat Petroleum Corp mulls hike in Bina refinery output
Bharat Petroleum Corporation may consider increasing the capacity of the Bina refinery, being commissioned in partnership with the Oman Oil Company. The six-million-tonne facility is scheduled to be operational by 2002. Both BPCL and Oman Oil Company will hold a 26% stake in the refinery.

Telstra sale unlikely to dampen retail spending
The privatisation of the remaining two-thirds of Australian telecommunications carrier Telstra Corp Ltd could see a small increase in household debt and a blip in retail spending. However, it is felt that the overall impact of the $40-billion selloff on the real economy is likely to be muted.

Mysore Kirloskar may merge ailing institute with itself
Mysore Kirloskar is likely to bring under its fold the ailing Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies. The company has convened a meeting of its secured creditors on April 14 to get the required approvals from them for the proposed amalgamation. The company had plans to raise some funds for its expansion programmes.
