Movers & Shakers -- Laijawala is HSBC-CMI manager 

 
Laijawala is HSBC-CMI manager

HSBC Capital Markets India Private Limited recently announced the appointment of Abhay Laijawala as manager, Metals and Mining Industries Group. He will work closely with the global team within HSBC Investment Banking, where Metals and Mining is a core area of competence.

Laijawala, who has a masters degree in business administration from the United States, worked with BZW Asia Limited as an investment analysis prior to this assignment, where he was responsible for tracking the Indian steel, aluminium and paper industries. He was also rated as the most favoured Indian metal analyst in 1996 by Alliance Capital's internal survey on global brokerage firms.

Basra is new Western command SASO

Air Marshal DS Basra has taken over as Senior Air Staff Officer (SASO) of the Western Air command.

A graduate of Superior College of Air Warfare and Inter Armles Paris in France, Air Marshal Basra was commissioned as a fighter pilot in IAF in March 1962.

During his longand illustrious career, he has held various command and staff appointments which includes Air Officer Commanding (AOC) of fighter base, deputy director of Air staff inspection and director offensive Air operations at Air HQs.

Prior to this he was senior Air Staff Officer (SASO) Eastern Air command.He was one of the founder members of the prestigeous Tactics and Combat Development and Training Establishment (TACDE) and on instructional duties to Pilot Attack Instructor School Jamnagar, TACDE and deputation to Iraqi Air Force as flying instructor.

D Satyadhi is VP of TUL

D Satyadhi has recently been appointed as vice president, marketing & sales of Tatra Udyog Ltd (TUL). He will be responsible for the sales and marketing operations of the company in Bangalore.

Prior to joining Tatra Udyog Ltd, Satyadhi was branch manager of Ingersoll Rand (I) Ltd, Delhi, looking after their operations for the compressor, construction and mining divisions in the northern region.

After graduating in mechanicalengineering, Satyadhi joined Ingersoll Rand at Hyderabad and has worked in Chennai and Vishakhapatnam before moving into Delhi. Satyadhi has wide experience in institutional sales to the core sector.
